that features a red band around the ferrule.

The name Mikado was changed to Mirado during World War II, 
as can be seen from Henry Petroski's Pencil. 

“Japan`s bombing of Pearl Harbor immediately affected the war. On December 8, 1941, 
Mikado Pencil changed its name to Mirado to wash away the Japanese atmosphere of its name."
